DAN KEOWN
In-School, Beverly & Pilsen/Little Village Neighborhood Conductor     

Daniel Keown serves as director of the Beverly and Pilsen/Little Village Neighborhood Choirs, as well as the In-School Program of Chicago Children’s Choir. Originally from Trego, WI, Mr. Keown received a Bachelor’s Degree in Music Recording Technology from the University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh in Oshkosh, WI and a Master’s Degree in Music from Indiana State University in Terre Haute, IN.

Prior to working with Chicago Children’s Choir, Mr. Keown began his work with young voices as the student assistant conductor of the Terre Haute Children’s Choir and as the director of the Rio Grande Elementary Children’s Choir in Terre Haute. In addition to his graduate studies at Indiana State University, he assisted with the direction of the ISU Sycamore Singers, Women’s Chorale, Masterworks Chorale, and Opera/Theatre Workshop. Mr. Keown is a member of the Pi Kappa Lambda Music Honor Society and maintains active memberships with the National Association of Music Education and American Choral Directors Association.
