Rogers Park Neighborhood Choir

Rehearsals: Monday & Wednesday, 3:30-6:00 pm
The Rogers Park Neighborhood Choir was founded in 1992 and meets at St. Scholastica Academy, 7416 North Ridge, and serves children from ten different communities of Chicago as well as Evanston, Lincolnwood and Skokie. The Neighborhood Choir, for singers ages 8-16, teaches music theory, vocal training and performances skills.
The Rogers Park Neighborhood Choir has performed in and around Chicagoland for the past six years, for such organizations as the Chicago Park District, The Kohl Children's Museum, the Sauganash Women's Club, Rockefeller Memorial Chapel, and the opening of the International Terminal at O'Hare Airport for both Governor Jim Edgar and Mayor Richard M. Daley. They also performed at the Chicago Premiere of Misa Zipoli (Apostoles) and the Indian Park Benefit Performance
In May 1999, thirty-one members of the Choir toured Maine along with the former Loop Neighborhood Choir under the direction of conductor Josephine Lee.
In October of 2002 the Choir toured Japan where they performed at the Hiroshima Peace Summit.
