Brian Vandenberg is Chief Administrative Officer and General Counsel at the American Medical Association (AMA), the largest association of physicians and medical students in the United States. The mission of the AMA is to promote the art and science of medicine and the betterment of public health. The AMA is leading meaningful innovation to enable a better health system for patients, physicians, and the country.
Before joining the AMA, Mr. Vandenberg General Counsel at Livongo Health – a fast-growing digital health company focused on diabetes management and other chronic conditions – and 7wire Ventures, an early stage, healthcare venture fund. Earlier, he was Senior Vice President & General Counsel at Allscripts, a leading provider of clinical software, connectivity and information solutions for physicians. He has also served as General Counsel at Origin Healthcare Solutions and uBid.
Brian received his Bachelor of Science in Psychology from the University of Wisconsin – La Crosse and his Juris Doctorate from DePaul University. He and his wife Jamie have three sons together. In his free time he enjoys cycling.
