Founder & President, ALUMinate
Bob is Co-founder and President of ALUMinate, Inc., a provider of data analytics services to universities, colleges, and nonprofit institutions. He is founding Managing Director of Limerick Investments, which invests in early-stage technology companies in the educational and health services markets.
Bob retired as President, Chief Operating Officer and Director of The Duchossois Group, a $3 billion privately held company holding diversified interests. He previously founded Duchossois Technology Partners and served as Chairman of the Illinois Innovation Accelerator Fund and Chicago Ventures. In addition, he was a founding board member and past Chairman of the Illinois Venture Capital Association and Chair of its Political Action Committee. He currently is a member of the Board of Directors of Churchill Downs, Inc. (NASDAQ: CHDN), where he Chairs the Nominating and Governance Committee and serves on the Executive and Compensation Committees, and is a member of the Board of Directors of Panduit, Inc. He was a co-founder of New Asia Bancorp, Chicago’s leading Chinese American bank, which was sold to Cathay General Bancorp.
His not-for-profit work includes serving as a current trustee, immediate-past Chairman, and Interim President of the University of Cincinnati Foundation, board member and past Chairman of the Chicago Children’s Choir, trustee of The Morton Arboretum, a partner in Social Venture Partners. He holds a bachelor’s degree from the Lindner College of Business and was awarded an Honorary Doctor of Commercial Science degree from the University of Cincinnati in 2013, and the Presidential Medal for Excellence in 2017.
