Civic Leader & Music Educator
Christina Hatherly is a certified music educator and professionally trained composer who has devoted a great deal of her life to advancing the access of music education to underserved youth. Prior to becoming a board member, Christina served on the staff of CCC for 9 years as Director of Choral Education conducting school and neighborhood choirs as well as providing overall direction to the curriculum and conducting staff.
In addition to her board service with CCC, Christina is actively involved in youth arts programs in Arizona as a consultant to The Solid Rock Teen Center in Phoenix (founded by the shock rock legend, Alice Cooper). Christina currently splits her time between homes in Scottsdale, Arizona and her residence in North Barrington, Illinois. Besides music and social justice her passions include road biking, hiking, golfing and spending time with her husband, John, her daughter Celine (Denver University), and son Sean.
